an updated guide to taormina
Last year, when I wrote about Taormina I said that no amount of adjectives—synonymous to enchanting—could do this place justice. While that still stands, I can add a little extra detail to its already impeccable bio: host to my September wedding!
A town that quenches your thirst for dolce vita, where Italian charm takes over, and flowers seem to magically grow out of the sky. A special place where you forget about what time or day, instead eating, drinking, and living like there’s no tomorrow. Snooze under the Sicilian sun, indulge in a cannoli, knock back an Aeperol spritz. The world is yours.
Bam Bar, Ape Nera, Vineria Modì, Red & White, Malvasia, Morgana (if you’re in the mood to dance)
Osteria Nero D’Avola, Maffei’s, Viccolo Stretto, Andreas, Babilonia, Roberto (for cannoli)
Tour Mt Etna, take a day trip to Siracusa, have lunch in Castelmola...relax, tan, swim, and walk around the town’s center.
