st. moritz: ski, après ski, spađ
St. Moritzâotherwise known as heavenâis the oldest (and most glamorous) winter resort in the world. The level of relaxation and luxury of a ski vacation beats that of most beach vacations, in my book at least. Putting all your focus on staying alive while speeding down black runs gives you little time to worry about anything else. What better way to clear your head? Ski, après ski, spa, repeat.
Hotels: Badruttâs Palace (my all time favorite); Kempinski (amazing, but just outside the city center); Kulm Hotel; The Carlton, Suvretta House.
Where to wine and dine on the mountain: Salastrains (live music, posh ambience, funâreservation needed); Mathis (upscale, gorgeous viewsâreservation needed); El Paradiso (beautiful terrace, upscale atmosphereâreservation needed); BĂźtschella (quick, casual, self-service, still delicious!); Alpina Hut (fun drink spot with great music); Audi Quattro Bar (casual drinks and music).
Where to wine and dine in town: IGNIV, Da Vittorio, Talvo, Ca dâOro, Bellavista Surlej, Chesa Veglia. They are all amazing gourmet dinner spots.
Where to après ski: Pavorroti (lively Italian wine bar, my favorite place); Pur Alps (charcuterie, wine); Hauser (outdoors); Cow Bar (actually looks like a barn).
