two is the new one

I’m sure you’ve seen it everywhere—same top, same bottom combo. I, for one, am in co-ord heaven and will not be getting over this trend anytime soon.
This plaid denim twosie is fun and flattering. The pants are formfitting and high waisted, necessary waist height as the top is very cropped and it’s winter. Too much belly—no matter how toned your abs are from boxing class—is just not appropriate in this weather. What is it about the matching top and bottom combo that makes it so chic? I mean, the bottoms are cute on their own. The top is cool on its own. But when worn together, it just feels whole. Some pieces come as two peas in a pod, and this co-ord is no exception. Keeping in theme with the punk vibe of this outfit, I paired it with a pair of ultra high Jeffrey Campbell platforms and an All Saints jacket.
When you do it right, hair can serve as the best accessory. I typically wear my hair in au naturel waves looking deliciously disheveled. Not only is tousled bed head adorable and sexy at the same time, it also takes no effort. Win win.
I wore this outfit to a party where the dress code was meant to be all white. Whoops. I guess I translated all white to all plaid. No complaints here though, I love to make an entrance.
